Double Bay 2028 sits between Rose Bay and Darling Point in Woollahra Council. The residential core is small — a village grid around Bay Street, Knox Street and Cross Street — and the housing is mostly boutique low-rise apartment blocks from the 1960s onwards, plus some larger 1990s–2010s buildings closer to the ferry wharf. Most of the moves we quote here are 2- and 3-bed apartments with lift access.
Bay Street is the retail spine of the village and is tight for a moving truck any day of the week — narrow lanes, angled parking on both sides, café awnings that constrain height. For load-outs on Bay Street or Knox Street we usually stage from a side street (Guilfoyle Avenue, Manning Road, Cooper Street) rather than trying to park directly outside.
A meaningful chunk of Double Bay housing sits up the hill on Ocean Avenue, Bellevue Road and the connecting streets — large houses, 3- and 4-bedroom, with driveway access. These moves quote at the family-home tier: 3- or 4-mover crew, $210/hr or $300/hr, standard truck access. Woollahra Council issues moving-vehicle permits for reserved kerbside parking when needed — apply 10 business days ahead.
