Brief and site walk-through
Thales walks both sites with you — the floor you’re leaving and the one you’re moving to. We note lift and dock bookings, kerbside restrictions, floor plans, and which teams move when. You get a written plan, not a guess.

Plan and label
Every desk, crate and piece gets a colour and a destination on the new floor plan. IT gets a crate-numbering scheme keyed to seating, so reconnection on Monday is plug-and-go, not a treasure hunt.

The move window
Most office moves run Friday 6pm to Sunday 6pm — the business closes Friday and the crew works the weekend. Larger or staged moves run department by department across evenings so no one loses a trading day.

Reinstall and hand over
Desks rebuilt, crates delivered to the right seats, furniture placed to the floor plan. We hand operations a floor-plan map of where everything landed so the first person in isn’t lost.

Monday go-live
The team walks in to a finished office — desks up, screens at the right seats, the boardroom ready. Any snags from the weekend are on us to fix before the working day starts.

Can you move our office after-hours or on a weekend?
Yes — most office moves we do are Friday 6pm to Sunday 6pm so the team walks in Monday to a finished office. Evening and split-shift moves are available for staged relocations too. After-hours and weekend rates are confirmed on the quote, never a surprise on the invoice.
How much notice do you need for an office move?
Two weeks for a 10–30 person office is comfortable. Under a week is possible — call and we’ll tell you honestly. We plan the move during business hours in the lead-up and execute on the agreed window, so the planning never eats into your trading time.
Do you handle desks, monitors and server racks?
Desks and monitors, yes — we disassemble, crate and reassemble at the new address, boxed by seat so each person’s kit lands at their desk. Live server racks and comms gear we move in coordination with your IT team: we relocate them, they power down and bring them back up. We don’t touch cabling we didn’t terminate.
Can you do a staged or phased move so we don’t close?
Yes. For larger offices we move department by department across evenings, so part of the business keeps trading while another part relocates. It costs a little more in total crew time than a single-weekend move, but for some businesses not closing at all is worth it. We’ll map the phases with you on the walk-through.
Is the crew insured to work inside our building?
Yes. Public liability insurance ($20 million cover) and goods-in-transit insurance apply to every commercial move, and we provide a certificate of currency for your building manager before move day — most Sydney commercial buildings require one before they’ll release the dock or lift.
What happens if the move runs over?
We plan buffer into every commercial job. If something outside the plan happens — a lift out of service, a missed dock booking — the crew stays until it’s done. You aren’t billed for our plan failing; you’re billed at the agreed hourly for time on site, and larger jobs can be capped at a not-to-exceed number.
Do you move small offices, or only big corporate jobs?
Both. A lot of the office moves we run are small businesses and startups — up to fifteen or so people, one floor, often a single Saturday. There’s no minimum office size. If it’s a handful of desks, a three-mover crew and an evening usually does it.
