Bronte 2024 sits between Bondi and Coogee on the Eastern Suburbs coast, in Waverley Council. The housing is a mix of Federation and post-war cottages on the streets running back from Bronte Beach, plus small walk-up apartment blocks along Bronte Road. The suburb is compact — from the beach to the Waverley Cemetery is only about a kilometre.
Macpherson Street and Bronte Road are narrow, hilly and heavy with weekend beach traffic from November through March. Weekday 9am–2pm is consistently the cleanest window. For load-outs on the beachfront strip near the pavilion, Saturday or Sunday afternoons are the slowest.
